What are some good ways to learn Brazilian Portuguese?
Q. I already tried the "Everything learning Brazilian Portuguese book" and that didn't work, so, what other books are out there that I can use?

A. Never the learning of another language was so easy, everyone can do this just surfing through the internet . There's a whole buch of sites everywhere with relevant content to help you. On my opinion the best is this: in fact i'm using the services of livemocha.com by now. I'm learning russian and french. But I recommend you to join a site where you can chat with natural speakers and, I mean, even here in Y! you can find a lot of portuguese speakers. bTW I'm Brazilian But you can try also Orkut.com Cause more than 60% of members are Brazilian Surf through Brazilan Blogs (mainly in blogspot) and try to read them and make comments on them. --- doing this you will face most Brazilan more slangs and "natural communication"… [cont.]

A. Hi, I would suggest using www.192.com. This is a directory enquiries service, where you can find people without the full address. It has records of phone numbers, electoral registers and company directors. If you are unable to find your friend using this, it may be that they have not registered to vote (or are not eligible) and do not have a fixed telephone service or are ex-directory. On the other hand, you could try relying on the royal mail. They manage to deliver plenty of letters with very incomplete addresses, and your friend has a distinctive enough name to make the process more likely to succeed, so mailing something to them with the address "London" only might work. What are some tips for getting your first Brazilian wax?
Q. I want to get a Brazilian waxing job but I've never had one done before. I typically shave but My skin is just getting too irritated from it. Besides being scared shitless, I'd like to know: - how long you are supposed to to let the hair grow before? - how long does the redness usually last (I have VERY sensitive skin)? - how long does the pain/uncomfort last?

A. The hair needs to be long enough so the wax can grab onto it. This may mean you'll need about a week's worth of growth. Getting waxed before/during your period can make the experience more "ouchy". Your whole vulval-area tends to be more sensitive during those times. I never got red when I got waxed, even my first time. But I got a bit puffy down there and it was a little sensitive. This lasted a couple of days. When you're actually getting waxed, it only stings for a couple of seconds when they take each strip off. It's completely bearable. The first time you get waxed tends to be the worst because your hair will grow back thinner and softer afterward. This will make the following visits easier.
