The hobby of collecting includes seeking, locating, acquiring, organizing, cataloging, displaying, storing, and maintaining whatever items are of interest to the individual collector. Some collectors are generalists, accumulating merchandise, or stamps from all countries of the world. Others focus on a subtopic within their area of interest, perhaps 19th century postage stamps, milk bottle labels from Sussex, or Mongolian harnesses and tack. The items collectors collect may be antique, or simply collectible. Antiques are collectible items at least 100 years old; collectibles are less than antique, and may even be new. Collectors and dealers may use the word vintage to describe older collectibles. Most collectibles are man-made commercial items, but some private collectors collect natural objects such as birds' eggs, butterflies, rocks, and seashells. Items which were once everyday objects may now be collectible since almost all those once produced have been destroyed or discarded (see Ephemera). Some collectors collect only in childhood while others continue to do so throughout their lives and usually modify their aims later in life. Philately, phillumeny and [deltiology]] are examples of forms of collecting which can be undertaken at minimal expense. From Wikipedia under the

Q. Acording to "The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998" a commercial website requires "verifiable parental consent" before collecting information like e-mail addresses from children. For the internal use of the website, this means getting an e-mail from the parent. The question is how an e-mail can be verified that is realy sent by the parents. Asked by Sina D - Mon May 19 08:55:37 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. Usually a website will say "Enter your parent/guardian's email address here" and once that form is submitted, an email is sent to that email address. That email asks for confirmation. But there really is no way of assuring a child enter their parents email, or another one of their own. Answered by o_O - Mon May 19 09:03:53 2008 What is a trick about collecting rental payments on time? Q. I would like to do some real estate investing. My fear is the dread of collecting rental payments on time. I work in a real estate environment and hear horror stories. Any secrets that work for you? Amelia's answer is the best. Thanks you! Asked by Nadia - Fri Sep 5 13:57:40 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments A. High late fees. I lived in a townhome community where after the 5th, the late fee for rent was $80! I was never late. You could also put a clause in the lease that if they are late three or more times in one year that they forfeit their security deposit (may not be legal) Also, do credit checks. I hate to say this but people that value their credit are rarely late on bills. Last but not least. Have an incentive pool. In the middle of every month you could have a $20 gift card raffle for those who paid on time. There would be nothing to recommend for this type of problem except for purchasing a different brand of washer, it would be adviseable though to clean after every use Good Luck !
