GNU Free Documentation License What is the PROPER RATE OF COMPENSATION for covering another persons job? Q. Today marks the 10th Week that I have covered for an open position here at my company - along with my regular position & duties. The pay rate for that position is $52,000.00 per year or $1,000.00 a week. To date I have saved our Company $10,000.00 or 10 weeks of salary that has NOT been paid out. I notified my boss in the beginning that if covering the position lasted longer than 2 weeks I wanted a bonus of somekind. But now it has been 10 weeks and we finally are seeing some qualified candidates for the job. My boss is very cheap I will MAD if he offers me a check for $500.00 or something. The extra work has really been weighing down on me I believe I deserve more. What should i be receiving? Is there a standard? In the day and age of downsizing the company has the option not to fill the job at all and assign the duties to you as part of your job now. I would bet that if you have a written job description there is a sentence in it that says "Any and all other duties as assigned by management." This covers changes to your existing duties as business needs change. I get new duties and projects assigned to me all the time. I've never received additional compensation as it's all part of getting the work done and the business to stay open and operating. You can ask your boss if you will get a bonus for pitching in with these extra duties, but if you have to bring that to the attention of your boss to get recognized then maybe you need to step back and… [cont.] Answered by hr4me - Fri Aug 31 18:52:41 2007 How to apply Sugarpaste cake covering? Q. Can anyone tell me what the best way is to apply the Sugarpaste when doing a cake covering? I used to used melted apricot glaze on sponge cakes but I am doing a really special cake so I don't want to ruin it!! Any advice is really appreciated!! I will be using the block of sugarpaste that you can roll out and drape over the cake - it's just a question of how to fix it there. There are several types of sugar paste, poured fondants, (a sugar past that you can just pour over the top of your cake, rolled fondants, you have to roll this flat and "ply over a heavy pound cake. and royal icing (which i do not recommend because this will become hard as candy. look for poured fondant recipes. read through this and see if it helps: www.baking911.com/decorat ing/cakes_fondant.htm Answered by Evan K - Sun Apr 5 10:52:53 2009 Is the protective rigid film covering the screen of a Samsung N310 to be removed?
Q. My Samsung N310 has a (seemingly) rigid, transparent "film" covering its LCD screen. The point is, that film works like a mirror, reflecting the image of the PC user, and I find that reflection quite annoying. Should I get rid of that "film" or is that meant to be an integral part of the screen? Asked by Polish - Sun Oct 11 05:49:21 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Some screens come with a protective film used primarily for shipping. If this film has an edge all around it that you can get to and pull on, then it is perfectly safe to remove as this is not an integral part of the screen itself. If it was, then it would not be accessible for easy removal. You may want to keep it in case you want to put it back on down the road for some reason, but once it's removed, it will not cling back onto the screen as nicely or cleanly as it is now and you'll lose that protection. Your Samsung N310 display is a "glossy" display type that will produce a significant reflection and glare (like a mirror) regardless if the film is present or not. This type of display produces a very bright, crisp, clean image, but… [cont.] Answered by Denver Al - Sun Oct 11 14:00:40 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "covering" Spinoff Online Covering TV, Film and Entertainment News Daily - Comic Book Resources
