Derived termsRelated termsFrom Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Drawing is a visual art that makes use of any number of drawing instruments to mark a two-dimensional medium. Common instruments include graphite pencils, pen and ink, inked brushes, wax color pencils, crayons, charcoals, chalk, pastels, markers, stylus, or various metals like silverpoint. An artist who practices or works in drawing may be referred to as a draftsman or draughtsman. A small amount of material is released onto the two dimensional medium which leaves a visible markāthe process is similar to that of painting. The most common support for drawing is paper, although other materials such as cardboard, plastic, leather, canvas and board, may be used. Temporary drawings may be made on a blackboard or whiteboard, or indeed almost anything. The medium has also become popular as a means of public expression via graffiti art, because of the easy availability of permanent markers. From Wikipedia under the

I really want to learn how to draw buildings. Mostly, castles and other unique buildings. What are the basics for drawing a castle? What is importnat to remember when drawing a castle? Are there any tutorials for drawing castles? Any other hints on drawing buildings would be helpful. Asked by Nikki - Sun Mar 23 04:49:27 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Buildings aren't too hard, there is a lot to be said about shading and detail if you want a nice picture though. I'd sudgest to practice textures and patterns in different shapes before starting on castles though. Like covering cylinders and pryamids in brick so that they could look like viable objects. Otherwise for castles- towers, windows, bricks, firing shoots. Look them up online for pictures and study,. I'd like to know the little tricks that people use when drawing, like techniques for accurate proportion and shading. Thank you you've all been very helpful- I'd choose all answers as best answer if I could! Asked by Nelly - Sun Jul 26 15:49:33 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. Every face or body you draw is different, so there aren't many tricks you can use when drawing. You just have to study the photograph or model really hard before you determine the proportions. Try to see lines between the eyes, nose, lips, ears before beginning to draw. For example: (these tricks are most of the time accurate) the top of the ears are in line with the top of the eyes, and the insides of the eyes are in line with the outsides of the nose. There are a lot of these lines, but most of them differ between each person. Like I said, just watch closely, and you'll do fine. When I draw faces, I always lightly sketch the proportions. I never use hard lines when outlining the face, the nose, et cetera, because it won't look natural.… [cont.] Answered by FlatandSharp0 - Sun Jul 26 17:42:23 2009 Anyone have good Manga drawing tips or a good site that could teach me?
