This one is copper foil applied to the background with thin strips of copper sheeting or copper tape wound around the piece The one art quilt needed a bit of help in the hanging sleeve department and the quilting was fine if uninspired but the threadwork to make the 3 D flag was intriguing

Adding thread to a painted whole cloth, changes the appearance dramatically. As the . quilt. is spread ... A. So much of quilting involves the contrast of light and dark, similar to Op-Art. Some of the same patterns are used in Op Art as in quilting. Quilting usually involves more texture.
