A. I think this may already be a glitch in your account, in which the true mail messages are not synchronized with the search results coming up. For that you need to contact Yahoo! Customer Care: if you have a Mail Plus subscription, call them at their Tech Support line, but if you don't fill out a feedback form with all the details of your concern here:

How can I search for the unread email out of thousands in my inbox that have been read?
Q. I like to keep the inbox cleared of unread msgs but occasionally someone sends an email with the wrong date and it gets buried in the past emails. Is there a way to search it out quickly?
Asked by Brian R - Fri Oct 10 09:47:06 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. With inbox open---click on View---"all messages", which is just above the delete tab. Then click on "unread mail" in the drop menu. That will find and display ---if any---unread mail in a separate window.

A. go to your google toolbar, click the downwards pointing arrow and click clear history. Alternatively, go to the google homepage, type a,b,c,d,e,f,g through the alphabet and everytime hover your cursor over each word/website and click delete.
